Against His Will count waking up every morning and looking in the mirror kno put ong that the reflection is only an illusion of ones cozy being. As soon as eighteen-year-old Brian Clarks alarm clock goes off, prepping and dress up will take place for the next hour-and-a-half. Regardless of school, work, rain, or shine, Brian forever and a day has to dress to impress. With his red tight shirt, blue fit jeans, black virtuoso belt, red shades, and perfectly gelled hair, Brian can now be seen in public. As a daily routine, Brian must do his therapy by looking in the mirror and chanting against his will, I love you Brian. You atomic number 18 beautiful. Having to admit to yourself and your family that you are gay is the hardest thing you will ever have to do in your life. When one enters Brians path the soothing aroma of mens cologne, cool water fills the air. The immaculate, perfectly ordered room will speck a persons eye. Picture frames induct proportioned next to each other on top of the dust-free desk. Brians jam is full of freshly pressed shirts and pants with the label dry cleansing on the bag. Although Brian shares a room with his little sister, Sarah, she chooses to live out of their crush and sleep in the living room. After fighting over who gets the mechanical press space and bathroom time, my sister decided to let me have the room to myself, Brian states casually. I feel bad at times, but I judge she realizes how tough it is for me to grow up gay. Let the best man win he declares with a great chuckle. For Brian, growing up and having to live a lie was painful, furthermore humiliating. I have always known that Im gay, Brian states nonchalantly. The moment I could logically think, I knew I was different. Brian strokes the positioning of his hair with his fingers while stating, All of my life Ive felt the likes of a girl inside. When I was little, if a person closed their look and listened to my voice they would have mistaken me for a girl.
