In 1989, after finishing bringing up as a clinical psychologist, I returned to academia and bear taught health psychology to final examination year university undergraduates for the close ten years. During that time I have encountered numerous misunderstandings on the part of students and colleagues as to the nature and personal identity of health psychology, many perceiving initially little difference amid health and clinical psychology . This article in part, then, results from this bewilder and is an attempt to figure out the difficulties that working in such a position has entailed.
